Ok so today a day before my cross country drive my passenger window decides to break and after pulling the door pannel off I find that its 2 little green plastic pieces that hold the window on the track and connect to the wires that pull the window up and down. I called an audi dealership and they told me i need a new window regulator for 150$ to get the little green brackets so I told them to s my d.... but long story short I wasnt able to find thoes little green things anywhere w/o actually getting the regulator too so does anyone know where i can find thoes?

You can find them on a new window regulator. The man didn't lie to you. Try to find one used maybe.

That's a good find, didn't even realize that. ECS sells a repair kit based on that part number. http://www.ecstuning.com/ES10186/

Well then I stand corrected too because that parts guy DID lie to you because this is a factory repair kit that he should have had no problem ordering.

I just swapped regulators on my A4 last weekend. It would be a hunge PITA to attempt to swap just the clips.

Off Topic: Is it just me, or does this diagram show a B5 door with CRANK WINDOWS? Was that even an option? Look at part number 9 - Window crank.

I need to get my window regulator fixed at some point too and this seems promising. I don't want to rain on this parade, but I don't think this is going to solve the problem of the green plastic piece that holds the window to track. The repair kit piece looks more like a piece that helps keep the regulator track wire in place. Also, judging from your diagram, there is only one such plastic piece per regulator. Assuming that we all have two plastic clips, this is not the solution. Also, the picture from ECS definitely does not look like the plastic clip that is broken in my regulator. Nonetheless, I hope I'm wrong. I'll definitely be looking forward to your findings.

the one on ecs says u need 2 per window to repair so i am assuming its the right piece maybe just a newer design

ill agree they look nothing like what broke but the ecs discription says: Replaces the problematic green guide piece. Fits front windows only.... so seems pretty promising

alright Dont buy that part unless the little green thing that guides the wire from the regulator at the bottom corrner closest to the front of the car is broke... but I found this today http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/4B0_837_463_B/ES4839/ im not sure if it'll fit but my friend lets me see if it will before I actually but it so its not really a big deal ill get back to you when I try em
