i just bought some hid's for my ladies car and she didn't want them anymore, SO i decided to use them in my fog lights. these are hella gen 3 ballasts with the internal ignitors. i just tried to install them in my fogs and ran into one MAJOR problem, they dont fit in the fog house. what i mean is the plug that attaches to the bulb protrudes the fog light housing so much that the cover wont go on. what should i do? should i leave the cover off and waterproof it somehow ie: duct tape...LOL. what have some of you guys done?

There's going to be one major consequence here. Once you get a set of HIDs in there the fog lights aren't going to be effective in actual fog. As driving lights they'll be good but, you'll have to turn them off in the fog because the HIDs will actually illuminate the fog instead of cutting through it.

PM Evil and he'll tell you the same. He already has HIDs in his fogs.

Yep I have HID's in my fogs, and if you leave that back cover off you can kiss those foglights goodbye. They will get water soaked

do you have pics of your setup/install? Are you using H7 bulbs or using a D2S projector from the headlights?
