I was at a car show this past weekend, and there was a kid there running a forge 007 valve, he had it hooked up to blow off, how is this possible, i have been search endlessly over the web and can't find anything that explains on how he would do this with out stalling, or having a terrible idle problem, any input to put my mind at ease would be awesome. Thanks!

Don't even waste your time trying to do this. If you're looking to replace your divertEr valve pick up a 710N oem factory diverter valve. If you wanna be fast and furious, you're gonna get flamed here.

On the other hand if you have 400awhp built motor with an external waste gate, well that's a different story.

It would make no sense to have a divertor valve blow off air into the atmosphere. A DV is made to recirculate air so having it blow off air into the atmoshpere defeats the DV's original purpose. In order to make a DV act like a BOV you would disconnect one of the DV lines (this would cause major idel problems). This makes you think why don't I just get a BOV. But, then we have people complain about AFR's and this can be fixed with a tune or you can just live with it.

Thank you Durrmcdanks, that is the answer that i was looking for, but my car is stock, minus some cosmetics things and an exhuast. i just couldnt figure out how he did it without an idle problem.

the blow off your on about is this
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=&product=FMDV14T
it in no way affects the car at all and makes a half decent sound
theres an ajustable one so you can shut the noise off
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=&product=FMFSITA
and the uprated vacume dv
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=&product=FMFSITV
i use the switchable and the vacuum dv recloted to cold side

Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.. He had a straight up forge 007 DV, just like the one that I have ran in my car before. It was "strictly" a DV that he was blowing off..

does it not act like a bov if you just dont connect it to the intake track?

ha i have no idea i mean thats what i would think. it would be doing the same exact thing as a bov if it wasnt connect to the intake track piping.

ive done it. its just running it open, its safe to do with the 007 cause it closes tight at idle. thats the only way we can run a BOV on our cars, is if it closes tight at idle. all u do is unplug the end that goes into the TIP. and plug that hose. and bam open DV.

What about Forge splitter diverter valve? It has a combination of blow off and recirculation valve. Click here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260487298217&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT).

That would work as a normal dv aswell but you don't need to disconnect any hoses. I used to have a splitter it was okay. But if u got an 007 and don't want to waste money on a new dv just unplug the side that goes into the turbo and plug up the hose. U just now turned a dv into a bov. And honestly the open dv sounds way better than any bov I've had/heard.

The APR Dv is fast response but makes no noise, maybe a groan if anything.
