Hey,

I've searched a TON and can't find a straight solution anymore. I have a B7 2005.5 A4 and I want to upgrade the Head Unit to a Double DIN nav. I've looked at the RNS-E and various aftermarket ones (Alpine, Eclipse, Pioneer, Kenwood ... haven't decided which one).

One big issue is the bluetooth ... and more specifically the Voice Button on the steering wheel. It would be awesome to get that to work. From what I've read, it would seem like the button doesn't work.

However, most of those threads are outdated (years old)...

So my question is, Is there an adapter available to make use of that button? What combination would most people suggest?

Thanks. Please don't give me slack if this question has been asked 12342342x.

I also have a B7 and installed an AVIC beginning of this year. Very happy with it! First, tried the SWI-PS, then switched to the Connects2 for steering controls.

I believe the newer versions of the SWI-PS support bluetooth functions, but was not satisfied with the problematic programming required.

Oh really ...

Can anyone confirm this? That would be awesome!

Check the PAC website for more info. However, I've not heard from anyone actually using it in an Audi...

The PAC SWI-PS v1.68 has support for the VR button. The only way to verify the version number is to contact the seller and ask. There is a sticker on the housing with the version.
