Hi,

I have a 01.5 1.8t APR 91 ECU and DV and I am wondering at what RPM in second and 3rd to you change gear. I know the red line is 7200ish but my car loses gusto around 5000 rpm which is annoying. Would really like to make it to 5700 or 5800 rpm... Is this the A4 or is this something that can be remedied.

I don't have an exhaust, would this help?

Where is your power band?

get a ko4 or bigger, a ko3 doesnt have any top end power

Need a different turbo for that buddy.

KO4 would help, get you close to 6k, but to really get a nice powerband you need a GT series turbo.

Here is my GT28RShttp://www.audizine.com/gallery/data/500/Audi_A4_Dyno_2-7-09.jpg

Pulls all the way to 7200. I generally shift at 7100. Numbers are at the wheel.

A K03 generally runs out of breath at 5000rpm

Okay thanks for the info on that.

What about when my ko3s goes out to just replace it with a K04 on my 91 APR chip?

Will that run lean or rich, cause any other problems?

Will the exhaust give me a little more usefulness in high RpM?

The k03 is very small and the A/R is really low. This results in little to no power in the upper RPMs.
