Ok I sorta hit my turning signal switch to hard... and now it doesn't work. Sometimes if I turn it on it might blink once or twice or no blinks at all. And that if I switch it for a left or right turn. Anyone can help? Or anyone know where I can go to fix for cheap?

It sounds like you need to replace the hazard relay switch. It's an easy DIY...in these instances, the search function is your best ally. The part shouldn't be more than $40 at the stealership.

Does your switch stalk still "click" when you select a direction?

The panel that covers the top (fog light switches, hazards, cup holder) would be removed. Use a flat head screwdriver to assist you in removing it. Please be careful, because plastic hooks hold it in place, and they are easy to break (as mine did). Anyway, you have to take out the hazard switch (flat screwdriver would def be your best friend here...) and just replace it with the new one. Just put everything back together, and you're set. If the top panel doesn't fit, try using velcro strips on the inside of the panel (the top portion) to help it stick. Good luck!

I am having a similar problem but my doesn't make the sound anymore. No blinkers and hazards won't work. Is it the relay switch or something else?

if it was working until you hit your turn signal switch to hard then its not it the hazard switch. I have an extra signal switch that i got thinking mine was bad.

He is saying that if your signals worked until you hit the switch to hard to signal a turn, then the problem is likely in your stalk and not in your hazard relay!

Hard to say could be either one. Symptoms match a hazard switch but the problems started after user error so who knows.

It stop working when I hit it to hard.

so, if you use the turning signal, without hitting it hard, does it work? Does it blink a few times, then disappear?

I went to Audi to see what they said about it an they said $127 just to check it out. Some b.s that was. Then they charge for how much the part is plus labor. What a ripp off.

There is a DIY for getting to the stalk in the cruise control how-to.
