Agreed. Love the wheels, just think they don't look good on our cars.

I liked them too but they got on my nerves eventually and got boring, so I figured I'd try something different on a B5. Plus I always wanted to build a set. [up]

i have that urge too...just something about building a set of wheels. haha.

I like them. Really wish I had the money to piece together a set myself. Very different on a B5 and it looks good, people are just haters. Are you leaving them silver?

Haha I hear you, the limit of peoples imagination in Toronto is RS4 reps or LM's.
I couldn't think of an interesting colour scheme so I left them silver. I'm open to suggestions, any ideas?

That's the plan, I put them on to see how 225's would hold up, but they do not agree with my rear fenders so I'll go down to 215s and see how much lower I can go[wrench]

haha yea, I used to like RS4 reps, so played out now. Also used to like the LM look, but now I'm trying to find something concave that I like, or a deep dish that no one runs (like the RS).

Maybe a matte black center with a white lip. Or keep the polished lip. White centers with a black lip. Maybe even all black. Ask for some photoshops and see what you like. I would keep it either black, white or a shade of gray like a gunmetal or something. Something conservative, but different. I would also definitely keep black in there somewhere though.

you need to be WAY lower to pull those wheels off...they are nice wheels and I love them on the B5's. (I have them too but am currently changing the color scheme)

Yeah for sure, I'm still working out the tire sizes so I don't destroy my rears. What dimension are your wheels?

Noggy Blue centers!!

Oh and no offense but I'm not set on these particular rims on a B5, but I'm also not narrowminded enough for only RS4s or LMs. I'm personally toying with the idea of corvette sawblades, or a different corvette rim. Idk, nice car though, Brilliant Black FTW [up]

Not bad, whats the offsets and width? You have a lot of poke. Hope you can go lower, looks a tad odd with that much stretch and so much wheel gap. I like it though.

Looks great as is. Its a classic look. You could pull off bronze centers or black that would look good too. Don't lower the car anymore. Really that is just gay to have no suspension travel. Do you drive your car for looks alone (which means it can't drive) or do you want it to function? Suspension travel is vital. Just as not having your fenders cutting your tires on compression is a good thing too.

Going lower will do no more harm to his handling than those stretched tires son. The rear tires should go up at an angle and should pretty much clear the rear arches, the fronts are a bit different but considering the extreme offsets he is running even as is over heavy bumps I imagine he will be rubbing up front if he hasn't already rolled the front fenders. My car sits considerably lower than his and I have more than enough suspension travel, car rides just as smooth as a stock A4 just stiffer. By classic look you mean it looks good with a wheels they stopped making before our cars we even being built off the assembly line?????? While I love love love the RS wheel, it's not a classic look IMO on our cars. While I think it looks awesome in most cases is different. Classic for our car is B5 RS4 reps imo.

Fronts are rolled already, rears just need a tiny bit more clearance. What's your GTF measurement?

while i would agree it probably rides quite well, it wouldnt handle as well as it would slightly higher.

that being said, guys like you and biketsai IMO pull off cars which are tastefully low, but not low enough that they wont handle at all; which im a fan of

23" is my fronts, not sure about my rears, never measured the rear but I have no rake lol. My offsets aren't as extreme as yours, at least not in the rears. I could probably go out another 5mm in the rear max before I start hitting the actual rim on the back fender. I don't plan to change the stance on the rear at this time. My fronts are heavily rolled as well and I do have some mild rubbing now due to me changing to a larger brake setup forcing me to push the fronts out more than I want. Right now I have about .5"-.75" of poke all around. I like the rear to poke a tad tiny bit but I actually prefer my front not to poke haha, I hate rubbing. What are you wheel specs btw???? Gonna guess the rears are9.5"+ due to the stretch of the 225 tire.

My thing is that while yes it certainly will handle better a half inch to an inch taller, it still handles worlds better than stock. I hold my own at autox and road course events hehe.

thats what i mean, it will still handle and it honestly looks better than mine...mine should handle better though, lol.

im toying with the idea of dropping it .5"-1"

They started out as 17x8 ET45 all around with 0.5" lips. I changed them to 2" front and 2.5 inch rear lips. The new widths are 9.5 and 10".
