ok so i have a weird bearing noise coming from what seems to be under the hood. it is not a constant noise but only sometimes... it usually happens in 3rd around 3000-4000 rpms when i let off the gas... like as it revs down its hard to explain... but it also happens at random times in 1st and 2nd during normal driving i dont think i have ever heard it in 4th or 5th tho. i do have a clutch that is going bad and im replacing soon.. could this just be clutch noise?? thanks

Seems like I have this same problem. How did you end up solving this one?

wow bringin back from the dead haha i couldnt tell you what it was. i replaced all the pullies up front clutch flywheel pilot bearing and everything else at once. one of them solved it. have a feeling it may have been the pilot bearing

Have you check the fan clutch or the ac belt tensionner. Try to locate the noise on one lift.

How many miles are on your clutch? could possibly be the DMFW is worn out. Mine made a random clunking noise on decel when it was going bad.
