You know how it is when you build your motor, you need the torque spec for something in the engine but you don't have the Bentley or you are not home etc etc...Well, not anymore, I put together this list with most of the torque specs used in a 1.8t motor build...If I missed something feel free to add
ADMIN's Move it to the appropriate location

here it is
1.8t torque specs

Carrillo conrods- 55lb/ft

Brute conrods- 50 lb/ft

ARP main studs- 65 lb/ft. ARP bolts are coated with a protective oil, not lubricant. Clean with solvent and use the lube provided by ARP.

Cam caps- 10Nm-7.37 lb/ft

Cam gear- 65Nm- 47.94 lb/ft

Cam pos. sensor- 25Nm-18.44 lb/ft

Raceware head studs- 3 steps-25, 40 then 55 lb/ft- using factory sequence.
Attention!! Use motor oil to lubricate the threads. Heat cycle and retorque to 55lb/ft

Knock sensors- 20Nm-14.75 lb/ft. Attention!! Knock sensors are sensitive to tightening torque.

Trigger wheel- 10Nm-7.37 lb/ft +1/4 turn. Attention!! If removed use new wheel and bolts.Use red loctite.

Crank gear- 90Nm-66.37 lb/ft+1/4 turn. Most people use red loctite and an impact gun on this.

Oil squirter- 27Nm-19.91 lb/ft

Water pump- 15Nm-11.06 lb/ft

Spark plugs- 30Nm- 22.12 lb/ft

Oil pan- M7- 15Nm-11.06 lb/ft
- M10- 40Nm-29.50 lb/ft

Sealing flanges- 10Nm-7.37 lb/ft

Toothed belt tensioner- 15Nm-11.06 lb/ft

Tensioner roller- 27Nm-19.91 lb/ft

Flywheel bolts:
depending on the model there are 2 types of bolts identified by their length. Use red loctite.
1.Screw length 43mm- 60Nm-44.25 lb/ft+ 180 turn
2.Screw length 22.5mm- 60Nm-44.25 lb/ft+90 turn

3.ARP flywheel bolts: 75lb/ft no washers, make sure the holes in the flywheel are chamfered for the arp bolts

Dampener 10Nm and 90deg turn. Always replace bolts.

I was thinking.... Can we make this a sticky, format it a little better (organize it), and add fluid amounts (engine oil, diff oils, power steering, etc)? This could be a great resource.

I never torqued them, it's hard to get a torque wrench on some of them with the manifold I have....Put them by hand, use the copper nuts that have a lock, that is enough, I never had them come loose
