I see some people drive with them on all the time.. Yellow or HID regardless.
I have yet really found the need to turn them on yet.
Do you turn them on just for the looks?
Discusss.

I personally like the way it looks and turn mine on by habit whenever I use my headlights. Even though in OK where I'm at right now, it is illegal to use fog lights unless it is foggy out...

I see people all the time in a4s with the stupid rear fogs on, Ill second your friends it looks so stupid. literally it enrages me, front fogs fine looks ok but the rear fogs, stupid, it even changes how wide the car looks because of having those dumb bright lights so high and close together.
Im sure youve seen a a4 with the rear fogs on. if your ok looking like that when you drive around then Im sure you own a pair of crocs, but hey to each their own.

Not sure why they are illegal.
The worst is B5 drivers who drive with their rear fogs on all the time, that shit just looks stupid being on one side.

i run yellow fogs in the front all the time with city lights, as well as with the bixenons.
i never run my rear fogs unless it's foggy or the guy behind me is riding my ass [:p]

I run my front fog all the time b/c I like the low wide light it produces. Running your rear fogs is reeetard..........and offensive to other drivers

front fogs wired to run with city lights, so I drive with them on anytime it is slightly dark. For looks. Rear fogs, only drive with them if it's raining or snowing. It's fun to flash them sometimes to make tailgaters think you are hitting your brakes.

I like offending assholes who ride my bumper - perfect time to use rear fogs. 99% of the time they back off when I turn them on.

it's the safest way to "slam on your brakes" and scare people behind you.

Stock fogs are completely useless and IMO takes away from the HID look. Anyone have advice on an easy plug and play bulb replacement to make them look better and maybe even more funtional? Hoen? I think I read that you don't have to remove the Sline bumper to change the bulb.

I think there are HOEN xenomatch or something like that. They are suppose to match up pretty well
You can always go HID route. :)
Front fogs: Mostly for looks along with my "devil eyes"
They end up as additional light when the conditions go from bad to worse.
Rear fogs: Only when someone is on my ass & when the weather gets pretty bad, just so people 'see' me. Living in NYC you have to make sure people 'see' you.

Correct, for those with the S-line bumper, it's easy to change the fogs. For the rest, have read that you need to drop the front bumper to get at the bulb (talk about a royal PITA).

quite a few posts on that one. As far as i remember there is some fabrication/modification of bumper to make it fit nice....
search up a bit.

I have yellow Luminix bulbs. I actually paid the dealer to take off the bumper and put them in. I used to have them on all the time at night. I've since stopped and only use them when it's rainy\foggy\I'm in the middle of nowhere (where there's a severe lack of light on the road).

I run with the fronts for look and the minimal extra light. Rears only when needed. I wish the fronts came on with the "Auto" headlight setting.

You don't HAVE to drop the bumper, although it makes it easier. I changed mine to Hoen xenonmatch recently without dropping the bumper.

How hard is it to wire the fogs to run w/ the city lights?? Does anyone have a wiring diagram? Thanks in advance.

I think it looks stupid to use fogs unless the weather calls for it. Everybody seems to think it looks cool to use fogs during the day etc. Even when foggy, the xenons are way more powerful. And I only turn them on in fog so I can use my rear fogs for safety

Search fogs with city lights. it's really easy. cut one wire and splice it with another.

I live in the fog city. The fog can get so think sometimes that it's nerve racking to drive with such low visibility. So my rear fog lights actually get functional use. As for the fronts, I only rock them when it's foggy.

Get someone with skinny enough arms, and you can change them without pulling the bumper. One side had burned out on my car not too long ago and I had ordered a replacement set and only changed that one for the time being. So I still had one bulb left.
Well, yesterday, on the way to work, the other one burned out. Decided to tackle it on my lunch break and it took a grand total of 10 minutes, only because the connector wasn't coming off. If it weren't for that, it would have been a two minute job. Still a PITA because you gotta stick your arm in there and work blind, but it's better than having to pull everything off.
