i was wondering if anyone knew if there is a body style difference between the german/european spec b5 a4, and the american b5 a4. i own a german spec, so if i were to buy headlights/tail lights from america, would they fit right in to my audi? same with other parts such as engine and so forth. like abs/speed sensor, if i bought it from america, would it fit? any help would be awesome. thanks

They should swap no problem, other than maybe connector issues. And if you want to place 1 peice US spec healights onto your car, slight modification to your fender will be needed to accomodate the size (and connectors will be different).

The main difference is the bumpers and the way the light are wired to work as we do not have running lights like the US spec cars. Lights and thing will fit ok as stated but the wiring may be a little different if putting in stock US light but if going after market most will be set-up for Euro spec cars.

my plan was too buy those headlights in this b5 forum, the smoked ones with the running lights for my 96 a4, would they work?

The US 96 a4 has very few differences than the euro a4 for 96, I think the harness might even be the same for the taillights. What year is yours?

Take pics of plugs and stuff and we can compare it to ours.

from what I can see they might be a straight swap or the light plugs will need changing to a face lift unit or a straight hard wire.
