Hey guys so my primary 02 sensor took a crap the other day and I was thinking about buying one of these cheap knock off ones from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-01-Audi-A4-Volkswagen-VW-Passat-O2-Oxygen-Sensor_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14Q QhashZitem3a52cbdbdcQQitemZ250497194972QQptZMotors Q5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories. Its only $40 and its a direct fit which is kind of nice, or should I just spend the extra $20 for the universal bosch? Anyone have any experience with them? I tried searching but didn't find anything.

Don't cheap out on replacement parts. You will end up spending more money in the long run. I did that with both my 02 sensors with Bosch units which did not have connectors. I spliced them into my existing connectors and I thought they would hold up. Well, for maybe 2 years they did the trick just dandy. But I recently replaced both of them (the secondary one def neded replacement as it had no voltage, and I replaced the primary one because of an issue I could not figure out).

I would feel safer buying a used one from A&P than buying an ebay knock off.
