brembo = more expensive, stoptech cheaper.

both will do the same, it is preference in style and what is available. Each cost roughly the same to replace pads and rotors, but I would say stoptech a bit less expensive.

On the track a 4 pot both brands (if I understand correctly) both should essentially be the same and reduce brake fade, etc.. I like the way brembo looks as opposed to stoptech.

Isn't the Brembo a 328mm kit? Either one should fit under 17" wheels, but use the manufacturers template first to make sure

your paying extra for the brembo name. If money isn't a problem then go for brembo

There's quite a bit more involved with Brembo's R&D, manufacturing, and their design that make them the defacto standard for OEM brake upgrades. They're quality and performance is one of the best, making them standard equipment for Mercedes, Lamborghini, BMW, VW, Audi, and numerous other manufacturers. If you're looking for the best quality product, then Brembo's your choice.

We carry Brembo not because they're the cheapest, but because their the best. Customer service, product design, and quality. Feel free to email us if you have any questions, or would like a quote.

love my 6 pots, there is a reason almost every F1 car in the last several years has switched from AP Racing to Brembo.

Unless you're doing some HEAVY track time, wouldn't either be more than enough to suffice for street use?

Brembo bought out AP Racing back in '00 which is the main reason you see most F1 cars with Brembo brakes today.

Brembo is the world leader in brake equipment. If you got the $$ go with Brembo if not Stoptech is more than enough for your buddy.

hmmmmm does AP racing make a kit for our cars? we have some on our company car. all i can say is WOW. We only use our car on the street, but do the research, there proven on the track.

I heard brembo's street kits (for lack of better words) are not the same as there race kits, and oem engineering. But they have great customer service and staff thats for sure (race technologies at least). But i won't go into detail since there is plenty of info on the net you can research with better facts, numbers, scientific facts and such.

I have never heard anything BAD about stoptechs. Nothing but GOOD. So with that said, my choice would be Stoptech or maybe ALCON for our cars.

Won't work because the master cylinders are different. I drove and rode in AWE's car at New Jersey Motorsports Park with the Brembo kit and was very impressed. Definitely increased stopping power and there was absolutely no fade during the two 20 minute sessions I was in the car. If I had the money, I'd definitely upgrade but unfortunately I don't. I actually just put stainless steel lines, EBC yellow stuff brake pads, and some Motul 600 in my car last night and am scheduled for two track days this weekend. Pretty excited to see how it performs...

retrofit...

greg from dubaudi has them on his b7 and they work perfectly. He didn't mention anything about changing the master cylinder

^^ Interesting, maybe he'll chime in. From what I've read on here (that doesn't mean I'm credible) the master cylinders are different and make the swap not possible. Perhaps he did some modifications to get it to work, but I'm not sure? Either way, I'd like to hear how he did it because I haven't read about anyone doing it before.

Contact greg @ DTH aka 400HPA4, he sells the RS4 setup and I'm sure can tell you anything you need to know.

ok, so for the rs4 fronts you do need to swap to the rs4 master cylinder. its also ideal to upgrade to the rs4 rears as well [up]
