Alright. First off, I have a 2.0t TIP Quattro with just under 30k mileage, completely stock on sport suspension. I noticed this happening more often now. Under medium to hard acceleration it sounds almost as if the tires are losing grip or the transmission is slipping. It happens more often if i'm going forward from a complete stop facing uphill. It will only happen when im at a complete stop accelerating forward but louder and more often when im facing up a hill. any ideas?

other than the irritating tip early shift from 1st to second gear in D, nothing unusual. Also tried it in TIP mode just to keep it from shifting, still happens. Tires have about 40% tread left. TCS light doesn't fliker or anything also doesnt change whether or not tcs is on.

If you have under 50K miles, it's not even worth diagnosing. Wish I had a clue as to what the problem was but my best advice would be ...

So what happened with this? Did you get it sorted out? I wish people would post follow ups on these kind of threads. It would help when someone else has the same issue and tries to look it up. Not to bash on you Jay... just in general...

YEah sorry bout that. The follow-up is, it went away the day before my dealer appointment. I dropped it off anyway so they can test drive it but no luck. They didn't hear anything. I haven't heard anything since...
