So today while driving to work I was rear ended. I was at a complete stop in traffic and a truck hit me at about 40-50mph. He never hit the brakes and said he didn't see me until impact due to the sun being in his eyes.
I've had this car for 8 months, only put about 6,000 miles on it, had just put brand new Pirelli P Zero Nero tires on it ($$$), just had it serviced ($$$), and had spent 6+ months looking for this car before I bought. Lets just say I'm a little upset.... oh and in a shit ton of pain due to whiplash. Talk about a rough morning commute.

Sorry to hear. Same thing happened to me. I was rear ended by an 18 wheeler though. He saw me last second and managed to brake somewhat. (Had an MKV GTI at the time)
Glad you're okay though. Cars come and go but we can't say the same thing about our life.
(Whiplash is a biaa though)
edit: I also think it's totaled.

I was doing about 78 mph on the freeway today and this truck was on left side of me. All of a sudden, he decides to join me in my lane! To the right of me was a Semi doing 65ish. I had to swerve in the right lane and by the grace of God, I passed the semi by less than 10 feet.

Wow, so glad you are doing ok, although whiplash is terrible.

Man, that truly sucks. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Feel better dude; glad you're ok (that's a hard hit). Make sure you get yourself checked out if you didn't already... When you start feeling better, look for a new car, because yours is done.

I'm really sorry to see this man. I know how much time and effort goes into getting a new car and to have it totalled so early really blows. That being said...

HEY IMPORTANT : CALL A LAWYER FIRST NOT INSURANCE CO.!!! Lawyer will do all the leg work for you.. thats a major rear end dude. you might get some cash out of it. I got rear ended a long time ago, my back never felt the same. I got some money on top of the claim but pain is a bitch sometimes...

wow you werent kidding when you said your car is totaled. I hope you are all right. You can definately sue the shit out of the driver and make some money on the whole thing. I hope everything works out for the better. Good luck

Yep, that was me :) Trying to be proactive about replacing my baby.
The car will be picked up from my house tomorrow by the insurance company and taken to a shop for an assessment. I'm pretty sure it will be totaled out. Hopefully I don't get screwed on the cash they offfer me for it.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. This was my first accident in 16 years of driving. Luckily Audi seems to build some pretty safe vehicles that can take a good hit. It is unfortunate that my first accident involved my A4. It took me years to save up the money needed for the down payment not to mention the time spent finding the exact car I wanted.
Looking around it seems like the 2007 S Line with black on black is really hard to find especially with comparable miles as mine had on it.
