Hey all...

so this is my first time posting pictures of the ride....

i stole this idea from audizine user: eMacPaul ....i really liked how his turned out so i tried to do the same thing....

i like it as it looks like the S8 and S5 grills, which i think look great....and it only cost $15!!!!

let me know what you guys think...

Damn I usually dislike chrome but that looks sick! Nice work. I would consider that but I don't know if it would look good on Brilliant Red. Black pulls it off nicely.

i agree i dont think it would look good on your car because it looks like you have the blacked out trim???

im planning on getting RS4 hyper silver reps so i think those will go nicely with the chrome look..

Yeah I black it all out with vinyl so I could easily remove it and the chrome would be there.

Matt if you blacked out the grey and kept the chrome on the grill, it would look SICK. The grey is what would make it look bad on our cars. I definitely say try it! [up]

the stuff is only $15 bucks at autozone so its worth a try...
pretty easy to install...this is the same stuff that people use to "chrome" out their wheel wells, door frames, brake lights....

Trouble is non-sline you'd probably have to do the horizontal slats... and that might end up looking like a Ford Focus. [:p]

I agree not something I normally like but it came out really good on your car. Maybe because you have a black car? Black and chrome are a classic combo.

Yeah! thatz what I was thinking, but still would lov to see pics anyhow[;)]

I have a similar set up - but it looks like I've used much thinner chrome trim.......

Looks pretty good, but I think it would look better with thinner chrome, with the double thin chrome being the end all. redlabel81's looks stunning, makes me want to get an S4 grill, but I'm not even S-line and don't wanna chop my shit up...

I did not know if it would leave adhesive residue on my grill- Just wanted to see a few pics before I waste my time. Somebody has to have one pic, I did multiple searches on the topic. But If I have sometime on my hands in the next week or so I will do it and post picz[:D]

It might leave some. It's 3M automotive tape with chrome over it. But you'd be safe to use Goo Gone/Goof Off/whatever to clean it off.

Try making the rest of the grill black so it contrasts better with the chrome.

And I think thinner strips would work better.

Been trying to figure out what I would like to do with my non-sline front. I just don’t want it looking like I’m a rapper riding DUBz with a Iced out grill on my audi. Just want a clean oem look for my car. I’m not really a fan of chrome, but I saw a few Avants with really clean grills. Of course they seem to be all Sline.

a few more pictures with better sunlight...i say if you think you want to do it...do it! only $15 at Autozone, easy to install and if it doesnt work take it off...there should not be any damage to the grille itself.

All my buddies like the look...im like everyone about the view of chrome...but i think this looks great and complements the front end of the car. Once i get VMR wheels i think it will look great.
