Hey guys. I'm in love with the HRE wheels. Specifically the Comp20's, Comp90's, 540 and 541's. I have an '06 Moro Blue non-sline. I honestly could get the HRE's but i'd be way in over my head financially so I want to know if there are any look-a-likes out there that would be cheaper. I'm also having a hard time with a color match, since I have such a difficult color car i'm not sure if I should do the black, charcoal, or brushed finish to match well with my car. Feed back... please because this is driving me crazy.

I've seen ones you could call similar, but none that are "reps" of those style with the lips and such.

Lots of styles of reps here... I've never dealt with them, but certainly a lot to choose from that might get you close to a design you like.

I know eurotech, which are the wheels you posted the link to above. They do most of their business on ebay and they are pretty poor quality. I'd stay away.

Man... It's not looking good. I might end up shelling out some serious money for some wheels it seems. I keeping my fingers crossed.

How about a Forgestar... that may be in your target price range. If I'm not mistaken they are about $1,400 a set for 19's.

I'm rolling HREs on the supra and intend to do the a4 no less justice. I was thinking 546R or Comp 21.

8 Years later on the supra and the polish is still good, the expected wear and tear is there but these wheels have held up. Also only 17 and 19 lbs for 17x9.5 and 17x11 respectively.

Call Brian Garin at Real Auto Works in La Habra (562) 266-1470. He can make you whatever you want and they will be less expensive than HRE and in my opinion his Capital Forged wheels are even better finish quality. 3 piece forged wheels just like HRE and he can make whatever you want. I trust him with my car entirely and he continually impresses me. As soon as im done with my paint work im saving up for a set of his wheels.

hre wheels are great, I loved mine...to be quite honest they are over priced wheels.

Search other companies, they all have very similar designs. For the m40, go with vmr's 710.

you guys are the best. Have not let me down at all. iforged, dpe, and raderwerks all have great wheels and I think i've found some great well priced alternatives. I'm still wide open for other suggestions. I've got about another month or so before i'm ready for new wheels. Thanks and keep posting if anyone else has any other suggestions.

If i were you i would stay away from iforged ive had them and their finish quality in my opinion is very poor they dont powdercoat they paint instead mine were chipping on the face like crazy also the hardware they use is terrible. Like i suggested check these out http://www.capitalforged.com/ and if theres a style you like they dont do Brian Garin will make it for you no problem.
