I just bought a set of 6000K D1S bulbs from DDM Tuning and it wouldnt turn on. I only put one side in to start and when I turned on the engine and started the headlights only the passenger side OEM bulb would light. I tried both new bulbs and neither ignited. I know that the headlights were plugged in too because my other lights light up (LEDs and the turn signals worked). Is there a break in time for these that I should leave the headlights on for a certain amount of time before they will finally ignite or did I get a set of bad bulbs?

when i installed my DDMs they fired right up... so if you double checked all the connections then you may have gotten a bad bulb. do you original bulbs still work?

I checked both new bulbs in and neither of them fired up, even after running the car with the headlights on for 5-10 minutes, nothing. I thought that maybe i didnt plug everything in right, so without changing anything else, i switched to my old bulb and it worked like a charm. I went back to the new ones, and still nothing. I even made sure that the ballast connect was tight and still nothing. What are the odds though that both brand new bulbs are dead

Might have been damaged in shipping - could have been part of a bad batch of bulbs - who knows what the odds are but I'd give DDM a call and find out what they plan to do to fix this issue for you.
Did you have to take off your bumper to replace the bulbs? Saw another thread from people talking about taking off their bumper to do the bulb replacement on the B7.

As posted in the other thread, i loosed the bumper quite a bit and had to take the headlights out. Didnt want to take out all the stuff behind them.

Had the issue with my DDM for the fogs:
Swap the black wire and the red wire where they connect to the car. Have faith on me, you are not going to make a shortcut
Well known issue
Go try, I am standing by [up]

Is this common to have to do for the DDM bulbs? Just wondering if I'll have to do this too when its time to put them in.

Yeah I saw that but Phil said this was a "well known" issue with these bulbs - that's why I had to ask.

Well I hope I don't have any issues either but at least there is a known solution - thanks Phil!

Got the bulbs in and one of them sparked up no problem at all - the other bulb however, is defective and I'll have to contact DDM for another...

Got another set of the 6000K bulbs and one of those 2 was bad also! Good thing I still had the first set - I was able to get 2 working bulbs out of 4. Sending back the other 2 as soon as I hear back from DDM tech support.
