if you have Bose, you should have the Bose symbols on the front two speakers. Check out this website for your other needs http://audiforum.us/rns-e/427-rns-e-dvd-navigation-plus-quick-links.html

Hey,

You need to VAG the car to make sure the computer knows you have it and switch the CAN BUS on the passenger kick panel. You should be good then. The rear of the RNS-E has the outputs for speakers and mine are working, but not sure why. Sorry I can't help ya more. Check nav forums or with TeddyBGame on there, he is the best!!

what made you go with that vs a aftermarket unit like pioneer avic ?

I went with it becasue of the oem fit quality. I am going for more of an OEM Plus look for the car.

Your unit is coded for Bose and you don't have it, or you have the wrong harness is my guess.

edit: Crazy double post...

Your RNS is either coded for Bose or you have the wrong harness.

Did you have a Symphony II or II+ prior to swap?

This forum has a lot of useful info on the RNS Click it. (http://audiforum.us/rns-e/)
