I just picked up an RS4 ebrake handle, but it's not the air leather that matches my RS4 shift knob. I wanted it to look like this:

Mine is much smoother, which I don't like. Are there 2 different versions?

And where did you buy it from? Mine looks just like the one in the picture - came from DTH (Greg) 100% legit.

I also bought mine from DTH. I'll take a picture tonight, but you can barely notice there are holes on the handle.

Here are the pics to show what i'm talking about (hopefully) . The flash on the camera actually makes the indentations more prominent than they really are, but nowhere near the example I posted earlier.
Also, I just checked OEMplus.com and the picture and part number differ from mine:
http://oemplus.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=60_71_105&products_id=543
My part number is 8EO711327P8UD while OEMplus.com is 8EO711327M8UD

and you definitely got:

that one?

I just ordered this exact same thing from DTH a few days ago. I'll let you know if I run into the same problem.

I'm not sure who I talked to at DTH earlier today, but he said there's only 1 version out there and there's nothing he could do.
Either there's multiple versions or there was some kind of switch made at some point to an updated/different version. I know mine isn't the same as the one pictured on their site though.

Easy is an understatement, just pull it off, slide on the new one - DONE

now who will solve the mystery of the different part numbers

Maybe it is a quality issue from Audi? I have had complaints on the last two handles sold.
All of our parts are sourced directly from an Audi dealership here in the United States and are shipped in original packaging.
If you are not happy with yours, I can exchange it if you return to me, if you want a refund, there is a restock fee per the terms and conditions of the sale.

There is no mystery...OEM Plus has stated they purposely do not always have the correct OEM part numbers on their site.
