Hey Arin,
Any updates on the B7 intercooler development? Wouldn't mind taking advantage of the 15% savings.

Thanks!

That's a good question. I wouldn't mind getting this deal over here in Cali. I was gonna go with APR anyways.

i mean, i live in maryland, so going to OC is not a problem.. but ive never done any ecu mods, so i don't know what the process is to get it.
also, i have a question about the chip..
i read a lot of stuffs before in these forums. but, i'm planning to get ecu, and HFC.
which one should i get first? by the way, i do not have money for both at the same time. so if one is done, the other one is going to take a while to settle in.

pretty sure they have a drive up booth at the show. I'm planning on getting my ecu done there.

Get the chip first. Come visit us at the show, we'll give you a pass to bring your car in. You'll drive your car in, park it, we'll put the software on by plugging into the car and then you can drive away happy! :)

When can we see something about the APR FMIC for the B7 that was supposed to be done along time ago? I mean their stage 3 recommends a FMIC but dont sell one. Kinda like buying goodyear tires from a goodyear store and them telling you to have them installed at firestone. Help me understand why APR Sells a kit and no FMIC all the others do.

the thing that i'm concerned is that if i get the chip first, and then get hfc later later, doesn't my car have to be reprogrammed because of another mod? by doing that i want to know if it's free or there is some additional fee to it.

Essentially the stage III kit will work with your stock FMIC. We recommend an upgraded intercooler for obvious reasons. Also the Stage III kit will work with any other FMIC on the market that fits the stock piping locations. Naturally we want people to use our own, but from time to time we just simply don't have an item on the market. In this case we felt we could improve a few things on the intercooler. We previewed drawings and statistics on the design at the APR BBQ. Once word got out it eventually flooded over into the forums and into phone calls. People wanted to see the progress so we felt it was fine to give the people what they wanted. Unfortunately the project got pushed back slightly as other greater challenges dropped into the engineers laps. Right now, today, I could ship you the APR FMIC, however we are not 100% happy with it. At this point we only want to start selling the FMIC when we are completely happy with the design.

Stage II and II+ are both free upgrades from APR. Some dealers may charge labor for the time to install the file but that's it. The file is completely free from APR. :)

Nice! I didn't realize that! Can you remind me what performance mods are needed to go to Stage II and II+?

True that! I was talking to Chris about it when he came to Cali this last weekend. This little set back is a must and will definitely be well worth the wait.

Everyone that wants it just save up that cash and set it aside so when it finally comes out you can be one of the first ones to get it!!! [up]

My guess is no, since they avoided answering the question several times...

Anyone else hear any other word about when the sale goes out to everyone? Several APR dealers have posted up that they are offering the sale prices, but many other dealers have no clue as to when they can offer it. It would be nice to know to schedule the service, especially for those of us who aren't local to an APR dealer.
