So, driving around last night, headlights completely cut out. Woke up the next morning to start my car, it wouldn't start. So, figured it's just my battery, jumped it earlier today, and it's fine (so far). But noticed that some strange symbol came on when I tried to turn on my headlights. It looks similar to the high beam symbol, but it had an exclamation point on the side of it? Also, my front fogs don't work now either. But I was driving the car today, and nothing displayed on my LED display.
I'm figuring I just need new bulbs, but it could be a blown fuse or something else.
Thoughts....?

Thought it was the alternator too, but my battery light never came on. Even after I jumped it, there were no symbols showing in my LED display.
I did the fuse check, but couldn't find anything as of yet. Hopefully it's just that though... HOPEFULLY. [>_>]

Does your car have Xenon's?
If so, it could be either a bulb (doubtful) or the Xenon controller. Check that the Balast units are ok, and then the fuses. If you have VAG-Com do a diagnostic and see what it brings up

Thanks CB, but I tried to start my car this morning and it won't start. [confused]
Thoughts anyone given everything I described...?

get a new battery and try again, could have some undervoltage issues going on, low battery voltage plays games with control units

Check manual for explanation of the "strange symbol" -- I think they are all in there. (When all else fails ....)

Funny you say that... My "manual" consists of 12 DVD's. Crazy right?
Headed down to see if my ride will start with the new battery. Did fine yesterday, but noticed that my front fogs, front headlights (high and low beams... High beams work, but only when I hold the lever back) and my rear fogs don't work. The rest of the car lights up completely.
I'm thinkin a fuse?

Checking the fuses could be a good start but I highly doubt it. I would look more towards the headlight switch itself more than anything.

Or I have seen a bulb cause problems like this also
