Since I last posted pictures I have:

- Removed grey filler plate for a black license filler plate.
- Podi Boost Gauge
- Custom 2.5'' - 3'' Exhaust, Magnaflow mid and rear mufflers.
- Put back the trunk rings except they are now plasti-dip black.

Next up would be 19'' VMR 710's (GM) with coilovers and TINT!

how does it sound? pretty good? any pics of the gauge? and the rings look great on your car. not a fan of the plasti-dip but it fits your car perfect.

I edited my original post and added a gauge picture...

From my VMR TP back it is 2.5 until the mid muffler. From there is splits to 3'' and to the rear mufflers.

It toned down the raspy-ness from the TP. It changed the tone which was huge for me since the TP was starting to get on my nerves.

At idle you can hear I have an exhaust its noticeably louder. At WOT you can hear it, gets louder, but not annoying for me at least. Plus with MT, you can shift to change the sound.

Keep in mind that exhaust taste is highly subjective. Overall mine isn't "3 inch turbo back sti" loud at all. Its a nice clean deep sounding exhaust.

Are you going custom magnaflow or getting the kit they have for B7's?

car looks good! what did you use to re-apply the rings?

^ I purchased new rings at the dealership, about $33.

They came with sticky stuff on a sheet of paper ready to peel and mount. Worked great since the rings have a groove where the sticky material sits, it would have been a PAIN to remove the old stuff and cut new sticky material into it...

I want to get my rims powdercoated too, and the black-ed out rings, but I have a white B7, do you still think that would look good? and what color is that powdercoated? and where/how much would that cost?

All I did was go to a auto parts store and picked up some molding tape. It was about $2, then with a sharp knife cut it in. Took me like 5 minutes to do. [up]

Removing the old material was easy. When you heated it up to pull the rings off the car, the tape also pulled off the rings.

Personally I have seen quite a few white b7 a4's with black rear rings and they it looks great all the one's i've seen but also had the a4 and 2.0t removed, looked real clean to me..

I think it would look great! There is a white B7 I've seen here with gun metal sline wheels and it looks sweet. The color is just a gun metal. The powdercoater had a sample sheet and i just choose it... Don't know the name.

And to answer your question regarding cost, I'm quoting myself from a post I made from another thread,

I completely agree. I shopped around and I was looking at $800 - $1000 to get them done right. I didn't want to spend that much on these wheels, I would rather put that towards new wheels.

Someone was willing to do it for $200 so I figured for the price I'll get what I pay for, and wait till these tires are more worn to get a new set of wheels and tires.

I'm happy for the price, and it will hold me off until new wheels.

$200, wasn't happy with the finish (hard to tell in the pictures) ended up paying $140. $27 to dismount, and then mount and balance $96. Total $263, can't complain :)

I did that too, but I guess I was just being lazy. [>_<]

I had a filler plate, but I just don't want a motive to get pulled over... [:D]
