So I am getting ready to buy a used 2006 A4 Cabriolet. I test drove one and fell in love with it. Even when i floored it cruising down the highway and the Check Oil Pressure warning came on, i still loved the car.

With this oil pressure warning coming on unexpectedly, it raised a few questions about buying a used A4 1.8T.

The cars i am looking at currently have anywhere from 40k to 55k miles and are in very good condition.

I am just worried about major maintenance on this car. I know that with the purchase of any used car, you are bound to run into problems.

I am looking for insight into anything i should really look at before signing over a check for 23k [rolleyes]

Thanks in advance [wrench]

for that, you will probably have better luck asking in the b6 forum. Although the car is 2006, it's got the 1.8t engine.

Once you get your car, check out the Cabriolet forum [:)]: http://www.audizine.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=162

A 2006 came with a 1.8t???? Ive heard of the 2.0t's burning oil and its considered "normal," but I don't know about the 1.8t. Anyways, if its showing signs of problems I would steer clear of it because Audi's are great cars until they break and then it sucks to pay repair costs.
