Is anyone using the 034 turbo inlet (intake) hose with the generic K&N cone filter successfully? Ive searched and Ive seen it fit well with the stock airbox, the carbonio, and theEVOMS filter but the K&N cone is larger than the EVOMS's cone so i just wanted to know if anyone has used these two together without fitment issues. If so please chime in and feel free to post some pics. I wanna order this I just want to be sure it will fit since the cone is pretty big. thanks all[wrench]

it worked well with my EVOMS intake. The EVOMS intake is a cone in a box unlike the Carbonio where the filter is held onto the box. Did you check my thread called yay for 034 ? .. shows how the cone sits in my EVOMS

ya i like the evoms but i think just running the k&n with the intake pipe should do what i want for much less $

update: installed tube. it looks like its smaller than OEM but it isnt. The K&N was a tight fit with the oem so it is still a tight fit with this one. I didnt have the clamp pliers so i used vice grips and my fingers are blistered from forcing it so make sure you have the right tools for this job. I also ordered the aftermarket clamps and they were much easier to work with and worth the extra money. However, since the K&N is too big i didnt like how it sat so upon adjusting it one of the clamps fell down into the bellypan so that was annoying. I will probably take off the pipe and trim it about an inch so that the K&N filter sits better but for now it is fine. Car feels slower but thats probably cuz my car seems to take a while to learn any new mod. So to answer my own question- yes the intake tube will fit with the K&N but it is a squished fit just like with OEM and trimming the tube is the best method for perfect fitment.

Thanks for the information on this. Can you give me the specs or part# for the K&N filter that you used? I am thinking about doing this same thing but with an AEM or APEXI dry filter but I'm not sure what size to go with. Thanks.

33-3280 i think.
UPDATE: cut the intake pipe to fit with the K&N. Cut right past the 034 logo so that its now just a black tube. the filter is no longer squished and the tube no longer touches the passenger headlight which caused vibrations and ultimately dipping.

I don't think a cone filter will fit in there dude

Looks like you would need a shorter tube. I had a 90 degree 2.75" - 3" silicone tube in mine with a spectre ([>_<]) filter

it fits fine. I just cut off about an inch and a half off of the tube. i actually cut off a bit too much and the intake moved back against the headlight so i will have to adjust it again.
