Anyone run without the TPMS monitor on their winter set up or aftermarket setup? Does the car beep incessantly or is it just a constant yellow light on the dash? Right now when the pressure is low it lights up the lcd on the dash and beeps pretty often. I think that would drive me nuts through winter :)

Yep- same here.
thru the menu is the choice to turn off the TPMS.
it just lights up once as you start car and then no more.

Weird, I have "Remember tire pressure" and "Change wheels"

Does it vary by software version on the car? I don't seem to be able to turn it off. What happens if I drive around with no TPMS on the wheels? Does it beep/blink/flash etc? The manual says the system will throw an error if all 4 wheels don't have a function sensor but that's about it.

mechwarrior,

Similar to myself you are driving a C6. Most of the members of this forum are driving a C5. In the future when asking a question on this forum you should identify the car you are driving. If you don't, you risk getting answers based on the C5. As far as TPMS in the C6, you can only turn it off with a VAGCOM. When I purchased my summer rims, and relegateed the OEM rims for winter tires, I got a new set of tpms sensors through achtuning's website.

Kevin, thanks very much for the response. In the future I'll be more explicit about my vehicle model.

Thanks!
