If i let my clutch out really slow between 1200-1600rpm, the clutch makes a loud ass squeal and once i fully release the clutch it stops. This doesnt happen all the time...just every once and a while...i have a stage 3 SB with about 20k miles on it...anyone know what this could be...or is it because i release the clutch so slow at times that its grinding?

any help would be appreciated! thanks [up]

Sounds like your throwout bearing is going bad.

if i was to replace the throwout bearing...im pretty sure id have to have a shop do that...what do you think that would cost me?

Unfortunately to replace the throwout bearing you have to pull the transmission. I would guess the standard labor time to be around 6 hours. If you take it to the dealer the labor rate will probably be $100 to $120 per hour. a good indy shop will probably be around $70 to 80 per hour. The throwout bearing is ~ $50.
