Ok just picked up some Lorenzer 19x9 wheels. I am lowered on coils so I can adjust height. I need to run about 5mm spacers so they clear the caliper with room in front.
What size tire should I use? Maybe with a little stretch??
would 235-35-19 be good?
thanks
Chris

i have a 235/35/19 on my 8.5 has a very little stretch. I would say to get a 235/35/19.

they are 37 offset. I will need to run a few mm spacer (3 to 8), I will check when the rims arrive, but wanted to order tires.
if 235 35 19 will stretch a bit Im cool with that.

you'll have about .5 inches of stretch, since everyone with a 8.5wide runs a 235

Ok, thanks everyone. Unless someone feels that toing 235 35 19 is a very bad idea on 19x9 wheels. Thats going to be the deal.
Appreciate the assistance.

get the 235/35/19's and if you dont like the stretch and look we can swap tires for my 245/35/19's

235's will give a slight stretch on a 9" wheel. Depending on which tire manufacturer you go with, some tires may look more stretched then others.

245/35-19 (XL only) is best for a 9"

Audi states the front axle of your car carries 2,491 lbs (the rear a little less), so each tire on that axle needs to carry at least 1,245.5 lbs. The 245/35R19 (XL) carries 1,433 and the 235/35R19 (XL) carries 1,356 at 36 PSI or higher. Our concern is that any tire will lose a couple PSI in the course of 30 days, as well as lose a couple PSI for every 10 degree drop in temperature. If left unchecked, the 235 has more likelihood that it would lose enough air to fall below the load carrying capacity needed to be safe and could fail (perhaps at high speed). If you were to tell us you wanted to buy the 235 and put it on the A4, we'd refuse the sale due to potential liability issues.
Do other people use that size on your car without problems ? I'm pretty sure they do. I would hope that they are diligent about checking air pressures to be safe.
Hope this helps

It does, thanks much Doc
I will only be using these in the summer and I am very diligent about tire pressures.
