Love your ride and your wheels. Are you experiencing any rubbing with that wheel setup? Are your wheels poking out from the fenders or are they flush with the fenders. From the pics it looks flush in the back, but in the front maybe it pokes out a little bit?

Not yet...it will be a lot of workntonsend them back our grille for redone. We will haw no grille on our cars then!!!

yeah, they would probably have to take off the grille. I doubt they would do anything for free though, and I'm not about to drop down more money for a grille I paid 500 for (Black Grille/Labor cost to install). I never thought about sharpie....good thinking hahaha....Let me know how it turns out

Sharpie markers make for a quick fill of the chip, but the color will be wrong in the sunlight. It will more than likely have a redish shiny tint to it.....

I would suggest finding a small bottle of flat black model paint for less than $5 and a toothpick. [up]

You will probably find other uses for this bottle of paint as well.

Thx man, i actually wanted brilliant black but that's the only one they had back in oct. I just bought it right away since it has everything i wanted on it. All you need is to keep it clean. I usually wash my car in 1-2 weeks.

Yeah it was me! I usually wash it like once in 1-2 weeks. I do not have a garage and i want one so badly. I have one of those that u share with ur neighbors which is not fully cover! Does it look dirty? I wanna wash it today but I figured that I will be driving that to sonic ms to install my exhaust and driving down to jhm to install short shifter. It will be dirty after those trips. I will wash it after those things are done!

Are you sure it's a Zeiss? There is no such thing as a Zeiss 85mm 1.2 and they only make them as large as 1.4. Did you mean the Canon 85L 1.2? You live in San Francisco for Christ sake and you have a nice camera, stop taking them in your driveway and on top of garage structures :) Here's a shot of mines using my 5D MK II and a 35L lens.

Ahh yes, the joy of owning a black car and trying to keep it clean. From the pics it looks like you live out in the sunset / inner sunset area. I'm not a big fan of the "Blackout / murdered" look because you hide all the lines and design features of the car. You lose all the visual cues of the lines, creases, and accents which brings out the wow factor in a nice looking car. All I saw was a dark mass with LED DRL's and even then I was looking hard to look for the S4 badge because it was hard to see. The wheels have a nice design but I like my wheels in silver to highlight the base that your car rides on. I hate brake dust and grime encrusted wheels and dark/gray wheels to me always looks dirty. That's just my opinion though and your car is still beautiful in the pics. You just need to take it to a better location for pics.

I can't find any good place. Anyway my lens was a 1.4 and I sold it. The only thing I blacked out was te grille and rear diffuser. I am dropping my wheels off to redo the color

I just got back from Sonic MS today and installed the AWE Exhaust. The AWE exhaust is not as loud as i thought it would be, but I love how it is. It probabaly will get deeper later on, and I am not trying to push it until i get about 300 miles with it. This is the 1st AWE exhaust and i think is one of the best after market exhaust I ever hard. BTW, i have no issue with drone from this exhaust yet : )

I couldn't install the Adam's rotors because THEY DONT EVEN FIT!!!!! Already contacted them and hopefully I would get a refund. I havent test fit the rears... probably the dont fit either!

For the Short Shifter, I will be going to JHM.

Sucks to get into an accident and hope things are OK. My 2007 e92 335 got totaled when a girl ran a red light and pin-balled into my car when I was 100 yds away from my garage door. Insurance company gave me the full MSRP price for the car when I only paid close to invoice so I actually got more money. I went and got another 335i e92 and owned that for 2 years with 32k miles. During that time I had my HPFP (High Pressure Fuel Pump) replaced 4 times. I complained to BMWNA and they agreed to a buyback, a generous one which I couldn't refuse. So in 3 years I drove 2 different e92 335's for a total of 44k miles practically free because of the accident and the almost full price BMW buyback. It was a bitter sweet experience but I surely don't want to repeat the experience just to drive a new car.

The S4 definitely feels like an upgrade from the 335 in power and smoothness. Steering feel in the BMW is a little better because it feels like you are turning two heavy wheels against pavement compared to Audi's sorta magnetic and artificial steering weight. I'm going to wait for the next generation A6 because I have the feeling it's going to be better than the new BMW 5 series. Once I move out of my city condo and have space for at least 2 cars, I'm gonna get an S6 as the daily driver and get a fun 2 seater for my weekend car. Right now I have to settle for one car in the S4 and I was so close to putting an order in for the F10 550i. I'm going to wait until BMW settles all its fuel delivery issues in their turbos before buying another one.

Uh oh, were you getting heat in the neighborhood for the tint?

I left my fronts untouched for this very reason, now I want to try just a light tint up front to balance it out a bit, but don't want to get popped.

Goddamn Blake wasn't kidding when he said I wouldn't be disappointed with wheel color. Brushed aluminum is one of my favorite finishes for wheels, if not my favorite.

Needless to say, I was no match for the s-tronic.

Yeah we got like 4-5 runs on great highway. Love that road.. S-tronic is very consistent. It shifts perfectly that human skills cannot match. i would pull on each shift the 6mt made. But i do miss a manual transmission! and the AWE sounds great. i think im going to get the AWE exhaust with resonated pipes. but i like the APR tips way better. So im still in the air between AWE and APR until there are more videos of APR. The stock system definitely needs to be replace. Also i would be painting my filler soon and gettin the supercharged badges first.

Looking at these pics the stock chrome accented grill looks better by making the car look classy. It adds depth and contrast whereas the black just seems to get lost with the rest of the car. Just my IMO though. Still nice cars though.

yea im going to get my filler painted black, i want to keep all the chrome where it matches the 4 rings. but i would want the whole grill painted black instead of just the filler and leave the chrome as it is, but thats more $$ and more trouble. The filler piece comes off in 1 min, and is easy to paint.

The tires are fender friendly, which makes a big difference, IMO.

More than likely, yes. ET40-42 seems to be the safe zone for rub free fitment on 9" wheels with 255's. Why not just use fender friendly tires like Toyo T1R, Toyo Proxes 4, or Nitto INVO so you can go more aggressive?

Yeah, gonna need to do some test fittings. But I actually saw a teaser pic of 20x10" ET35 wearing 255's without rubbing on our cars (in rear). I know staggered set up is pretty stupid on our cars, but interesting nonetheless.

Blake: I was going to and haven't got a chance.

Anyway I went to JHM today to install the short shifter. This is the 1st time I actually do an upgrade on the shifter on a car. Anyway the install was quick and It was done with in hour. I was shock how different it felt. It almost feels like a totally different car. It was so much smoother than the stock when shifting!!If I new s4 b8 owner asked me what is the first mod he should do? I will tell them to get the JHM short shifter. It is not that expensive and is totally worth every penny! If u are getting the JHM, must see the video on their website about the history of Audi shifters and how JHM made theirs the best on the market! I don't think they posted here or YouTube. Btw i took a photo of JHM audis, i will post it later.

to compare them right now, they are much stiffer than the v1 and I told them that i will be going to the track. I thought it was going to be more bouncy when going over speed bumps since it is more stiff now, however it isn't. I also noticed that there is less roll when making turns comparing to the v1, maybe is because is more stiff and I actually set the car lower than what i had on the v1s. I am sure the feel is gonna be different after awhile since they have not break it yet. I will drive it around this week and will find out what setting I am using on them.
