I got my car chipped with APR and on the ride home i got a cel and as expected i had blown my stock dv and got it replaced with the new revision d but it also messed up my low pressure fuel sensor and that was also replaced. Got my car back from the dealership put it back in 93 and the next day the check engine light came back on. so a week later i switched back to stock mode took it to the dealer and left it there and this time they replaced my fuel filter, my low pressure fuel pump, and my turbo bypass control valve (not dv). After a weekend at the dealership i pick up my car put it back in 93 and the next day the cel came on again. so i cleared it and put the car in 91 to see if it would come on even if the car is not running as hard and it still did. the car is running perfectly but i don't want to mess up the engine. what else could possibly be wrong that im still getting a cel?

Yea the first thing I would do is pull the codes. If you dont have a VAG cable go to Autozone and have them do it.

EDIT: When I got chipped by APR, right when I was about to leave it would not start and I threw a CEL. APR hooked it back up and everything was good. Dont know what they did but maybe they could help? Good luck

Ya I live right in the village. I take it to rockville Audi on the pike. I ran 91 for a night because I just got the car back and didn't want to push it. The only gas I ever put in the car is 93 but I heard it's ok to run a lower program with a higher octane just not vise versa.

It is fine to run a lower octane program with higher octane fuel, just not vice-versa.

Ya your probably pissing your dealer off if they dont know its chipped but it could be the hpfp and cam if they already replaced everything on the low side.

Don't switch the programs, leave the CEL up and the code on. My dealer never knew the difference.

It's not a check engine light on an Audi, it's a "yes, your engine is still there" light.

If it turns off, something is wrong.

Are they still honoring your warranty? If so, probably best that you're replacing all these parts now, while its still good...a pain in the ass, but in the long run, might as well get it all over with [up]

My car has been in 3 times in 4 months, and I have 0 engine mods (all were minor issues with parts wearing down). My warranty runs up in Feb, so I'm just glad its happening now.

check engine light = bad fuel pump sensor.
brand new fuel pump sensor = $65

incorrect.
if it turns off that means fuel issues. like I said before it's a fuel pump sensor.

just because the light turns off, doesnt mean the code isnt there. It can still be read. and Ill bet $100 its a fuel pump sensor that will be fix this problem.

They should have replaced the sensor before they went for the fuel filter and fuel pump so i doubt its that unless they over looked it.

Mine has been in 3 times in 4 weeks. I've only owned it 4 weeks. Or should I say I've owned it 2 weeks and they've owned it 2 weeks-and counting.
