smell like something burnt. I know our cars run really hot but i hate when i drive hard and i get out of the car to open the fence and i smell this burnt smell.

No CEL, good oil, just a funky smell.

You know it's funny, I think our cars have a distinct smell. I had an '01 B5 1.8T, then a 350Z, now my B7 2.0T. The first night I had my B7 I parked it in the garage and came back a bit later and it hit me...a very distinctive smell that I remembered from my 1.8T...my B7 makes the garage smell the same. My 350Z didn't. It doesn't smell like burning, but not sure what it does smell like. My Miata that I turbo'ed smelled the same. I'm thinking it has something to do with the turbo heat radiating in the engine bay a bit, or the cast iron section of the turbo/manifold itself smelling a certain way.

A smell of actual burning is common after hard drives if you have an oil leak. It can leak onto the exhaust manifold/transmission/downpipe/exhaust and burn off. I'd keep an eye out for leaks on underside of the car the next time you have it in the air.

i take a look under the car about every 2 weeks when i remove the wheels to completely clean the rims 100% no leaks so far.

My car smells like exhaust while Im driving. Im sure it has to do with the test pipe since it started after that.

explain "beating". it is probably your clutch whether you wanna hear it or not since you didnt go into detail.

It can be the clutch...aggressive driving gives a hell of beating to your clutch even with experience manual drivers

perhaps it was the smell of sex. Because the girl in the passenger seat was so impressed with your car.

It's usually the clutch. My exhaust doesn't smell anymore since i have broken it in and i think (according to 034) the HFC isn't supposed to smell
