Hey everyone,
I've been a lurker here for quite some time and finally decided to create a profile. The main reason I'm here is because I want to get some opinions on this 07 A4 that I plan on purchasing. Here it goes....
2007 2.0T A4 S-LINE with TITANIUM PACKAGE
17,500 MILES
$25,000
1 OWNER According to Car Fax and Auto Check
I've always leased new cars and this is the first time I'm buying used. I know that the Car Fax and Auto Check reports may not show everything about this car.
1. The car was registered as a corporate fleet vehicle in New York. This may or may not mean that this is just the way normal (individual) leases are registered in New York. Anyone know anything about this?
2. The carfax shows that at 16,000 miles the following was done (BTW this is the only maintenance record on carfax and autocheck.
Engine checked
Body electrical system checked
Interior trim checked
Manufacturer's recommended maintenance performed
Maintenance inspection completed
Anyone have an opinion on this?
After the above maintenance was done on the car it was auctioned off and the dealer who I plan on getting it from bought it.
3. I called the original dealer where it was serviced and the person at the service center told me that he cannot give me information about any car because of consumer laws. I didn't give him any information on this car I just asked a general question. Is this normal and is there any other way I can get the maintenance records for this car??
I would really appreciate some feedback and thank you in advance.
