Looks good dude!
Seriously thinking of getting these..
few questions:

where in Australia are you from? If you're in Melb, I'd love to check them out! =)
Is there an option to switch them to RHD?
what hid kit did you use?
Do you think the LEDs are bright enough?
post more pics![:D]

hey mate the fogs are a led type, i get the error message though so i think i might change them.

These lights look good as my mate has them about the same colour as the leds but no error message

Here is a picture of the cutoff with HID. Cutoff is sharp, but it has it's hotspots as you can see.

I want them! I was debating these vs the new B8 style ones. But from what I have seen the B8 one are not coming out for a while. I saw an S5 driving down the road and i knew I had to get them. It was daytime and the LED where so bright. I hope you are right and they are as bright as the OEM ones. I saw the ones on EBay and they said self leveling but I was kind of doubting that they would work. Are the self leveling like the OEM ones? Are they adaptive? I'm coming from halogen headlights, do you know if they are just plug and play? Or do I need and additional wiring harness?

loooks good! are they chrome housings?

Jmac: its 100% plug and play, very easy to install. and anything is better than halogens!

These are the Dectanes. They are not for the guys that have OEM xenons. They are not self leveling av not adaptive.
LEDs are ok, but not OEM. I think I will send mine to Phil and have him upgrade mine with the V3 leds ;)

Odd.. how come u_drmn says that his dectanes have auto levelling? are they the same ones are yours? When you say that the LEDs are weakish... do you have a photo that accurately shows the brightness in the daytime?

redlabel81

^^ I think what he is talking about is that the heads have motors so that you can adjust the level from inside of the car on the OEM switch.
Not my car, but it's daytime:

In direct sunlight it's a little to weak IMO.

u_drmn
09-02-2009, 02:48 AM
yeah i dont think they are self leveling, just to clarify they work as OEM they have the leveling motors so you can ajust the hight of th beem up and down from inside the car with that little knob

Just curious, are the blinkers orange on these?

JmacZX7r

In the US we don't have the switch to level them manually. I believe auto leveling is the only legal way they are release here. I wonder how I would be able to level them. Any ideas? Could I do it from the housing manually?

u_drmn

the blinkers just have an orange globe so no orange plastic at all.

Hope that helps

Well you can do it from the housing manualy i had to do that first to get the beams perfect. the only thing the motors do it move the bem on both headlights up and down so you can get a longer range.

Hope that helps

I know they are bright at night, but they are not like the OEMs when it's sunny outside. I have these so I am not hating! :) I just really want the Phil LED upgrade on em.

Can do that too, just play with the Camera exposure. [o_o]
I have a set of headlight open in front of me and whatever you trying to demonstrate, I can tell you that the brightness of the LED's is really weak !

no need to have an attitude[o_o]

im not a camera wiz all i did was use a flash and then with out a flash.

the only thing your going to do is stop people from getting a really nice set of headlights by saying they are really weak..... which they are not, im sure you could make them brighter but how long is a friggen piece of string...........[>_>]

^^ Take it easy Man, everything is cool and life is great.
Don't really matter for me what you buy or people buy. I am just standing by the facts here and from Fellow Ziners feedback, it seems that I am right.

are dectanes brighter than oem halogens?

redlabel81
02-09-2010, 03:28 AM
Depends on what you put in them. A HID kit then YES :)
Not a fan of HID kits in halogen housings, but this i a better solution then putting HIDs in your OEM halogens.
