anyone knows how I can try to clean the MMI buttons...I read some people have cleaned it in the past and it worked good as new but left no details on the actual process..any help would be grateful. I took it to the dealer regarding the sticky buttons and they said I will need a new MMI control panel at a cost of $1100 because something must of spilled on it and that is not covered by warranty...[o_o]

From my experience, once you spill something onto the MMI controls, they are done. If you were up here in NJ I could do that job and save you a few hundred dollars.

It's been working fine since I got the car back...when I have some time I will try to take it out and clean the buttons which still seems to stick when not used for a day or 2. I banned my wife from drinking in my car when she has the luxury of driving it...hope this prevents any further issues since I know I am extra careful with fluids around the MMI.

JLM04A8L, let me know if you end up needing a set of buttons. I have a set laying around that are in perfect shape.

After my girl spilled coffee on the Nav, Car, and Setup buttons, which were stuck for days. Took it to CherryHill Audi by me and they opened and cleaned my mmi buttons for i think $200 and some change. Now they Buttons work better than they did when i first brought my car.. Oh yeah take you cupholder(the black plastic) out of the holder and it makes sure no one puts a drink there again:)

These guys at Braman Audi didn't even give me that option to clean the buttons!! It's just the first 2-3 presses on the right and middle bottom button and then it's fine..all the others are fine...No food/drinks in the car unless it is mine of course...;o)
