I did it for my BMW at the time. its very easy.

Dude, you literally line the pedal up over the top of your existing pedals, mark where the holes are, and drill into your existing pedal. Put the new one on, put the screws in, and you are good to go.

Lol. Glad someone said it.

Let's just hope between two threads he gets that LOL

Haha, if you have ever hung a picture on a wall before, this should be no problem.

I think his delimma is that he's not sure if hes supposed to take off the stock pedals or just screw into them.

It can be done either way, but obviously its much easier to just screw into the stock ones.

Well i recommend to take off the rubber from the stock pedals and screw it directly into the metal. Its a better fit.I'll check it out when mine comes in a couple days. I'll put up a better DIY with photos too.

x2

to further add, you remove the stock covers for pedals and then drill, screw.

haha. I'd hope he wouldn't drill into, and then mount over the rubber covers.

Super easy install. Any drill should do it, but put a towel down as metal shavings will go everywhere.

lol thanks guys.

I'm not retarded. However if you notice, when you take the dead pedal off, its all carpet and sheet metal...so i wasn't sure if i should leave it on and drill through that, which doesn't look too good, or take it off.

Also, I wasn't sure if I should have been drilling through certain parts and what not. for example, I'm pretty sure the rubber on the gas pedal doesn't come off...or at least it didn't when i tried.

And I guess I should add, I'm not surprised at the ones who left the smart ass immature comments. Because god forbid someone asks for help with installing something on his car...on a car forum...

Like I said, to those who may not have read, I know its easy...but its frustrating when you want it to be perfect and it doesn't seem to want to be for you.

Thanks to most of the helpful responses,

Matt

I assume you are referring to me. Sure, you are asking for help for something on a car forum, however it is something that is amazingly self explanatory. There was already one thread about it on the front page of the B7 forum that also explained exactly how to do it. I then repeated the same steps you need to take in order to accomplish this. I found the request for a write-up or a DIY on the topic to be hilarious, since it is about on par with a DIY about how to put gas in your car.

Right but your missing the point. Like I said, I already know that. But if you had THIS particular pedal set in your possession, you would realize that it is a different situation because it's a really screwy fit! After asking the other member with the same set and losing patience, i figured i would ask for a general pedal write up and maybe I can slightly modify my installation to make these pedals work too. I guess you could say I bought a product thats not really 100% suitable for our cars...which is my fault. I mean I'm sure when its on the car finally it will look nice...but it needs some extra put into it first. Thats all it is im really not that stupid as a matter of fact I installed my coilovers by myself...sooo yeah.
