I searched last week and I remmeber seeing something about plastidip, that might work for the chrome on the doors but will it also be possible to use on the rings and chrome on the front S-line grill? How will that turn out? Matte or glossy?

Are their any other options? like Painting gloss black or something? What do you think a body shop would charge me to black out the front and window trims?

i went with matte black using shadowline vinyl on my front grille and window trim. $20 a roll and pretty easy to apply if you have the patience for it.

Any pictures? How long does that tend to last?

yea do a thread search there was a DIY about vinyl wrapping the chrome window trim and grill without disassembly... it looked good and didn't seem overly difficult.. it was also cheap

there are now 46 threads with keyword: plastidip, and even more when you look for painting trim, chrome trim, etc.

if you can't find answers in some of those threads I will be surprised.

I'm going with the paint option.

Edit: I tried the vinyl option...you have to have patience for that one!
