Well after looking at some of the B7's around this forum and PM'ing a couple very helpful people. My wife gave me the go ahead to lower the car and get a second set of wheels. I say approval, becuase after our stint as P-Car owners track junkies, I didn't think I would ask to tune another car..

Anyway, with all the suspension and wheel choices, I am going with the Eibach Pro/Koni FSD. These are going to be put on a B7 that doesn't have stock suspension. So having it ~1.2 inches lower will be helpful and save some of the ride. It's just so tall now... but just one question...with this setup I think I am okay not to rub since there will still be room between the tire and the wheelwell lip...thoughts?

And for the wheels I am going with stock 18 inch S-Line (5 spoke ???) or RS4 Repos... So anyone selling a set please look me up...

Anyway comments are welcome as they have been helpful getting me to this point.

shouldnt rub if you are going with stock wheels or rep's of stock wheels.

Have that suspension with 12/5 mm spacers rear and 8mm spacers in front with no rubbing at all on the stock 235/17s.

I find it easier to just do what I want - talking about it just ensures a debate followed by arguments. Wife's clueless as to half of what I've done with the car anyway - I like that.

good choice man!! you won't rub at all. BTW if you have a drop with s-line wheels, it will look sick - it is such a classy look. I'm still debating about buying some of those wheels. Check the wheel classifieds btw - there is always a set of s-line rims or RS4 reps (and i recommend the VMR reps btw - awesome rims)

It is not low enough to even consider any rubbing/ bottom out issues. It's a great setup for daily driving. GO FOR IT!!

Parts are in, now I have to set up a time to have them installed on the car....

I guess I need to start looking for a set of wheels now...VMR might be an option but I am going to scope out Stock S-Line a6(??) wheels...

I will start another thread after I get some driving time and some pictures of the car. Picked up the car this evening from TDPerf where the Eibach/FSD suspension was installed. I was nervous driving up to the storefront where my car was sitting. But the during first look I had of the car and I thought it looked fantastic with the new ride height.

I was also nervous about driving it home. After all, the last car I put a suspension on was my 89 944 Turbo S and that was designed primarily for the track. Anyhow, I get the car on the interstate and I can feel the difference. The difference wasn't shocking as the car rode like it did before but it felt more aggressive and sporty (like it should feel). After taking the looong way home I realized that these comps work well together soaking up the interstate irregularities with ease.

Once I get more time in I will report on how I feel the setup is working. Thanks for all the help with this decision...
