There's lots on the nav forum http://audiforum.us/rns-e/

If you have a Mac laptop, you're certainly in luck, and can absolutely run VAG-COM via Windows on your Mac. Been running WinXP Pro 64 bit here on my macbook with VAG-COM via VMware Fusion for some time now.

isn't dual booting a pain in the a$$?

Not at all, with either Parallels or Fusion, you can have Windows running simultaneously with your OS X, as just another open window (or in full screen if you choose). Boot Camp is the built in way, which requires rebooting into Windows, not that big of a deal. VAG-COM is really the only time I even fire up Windows, so either way, it's not much of an inconvenience.

I didn't so any coding when I installed mine - it came programmed from the place I bought it from based on the make/model info I gave them.

The dealer can re-code the unit using a VAS 5052 as well. That's what I did.

I have the red DIS and the nav info/turns do not show up there. I think if you plan the route and then turn the unit off then on it will work, but I'm not sure.

No I have not. If you search user Audi Juice, you will find some RNS threads of his with the info in it.

OP: you could always ask in the NE Tri-State forums (http://www.audizine.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=142) if anyone near you has VAG-COM w/ laptop you can use...

and +1 on Parallels in OSX to run XP (well, Vista [down] in my case, Win 7 when I get to it). -1 on torrenting it, +1451345 on having an MSDN subscription from my employer allowing me to get Microsoft *anything* for free.
