so i have stock bluetooth on my car but cant figure out how to get it working on my phone....

i know there is a lot of threads about this but i could not find my answer...

in one of them it sounded like i need to actually buy an attachment?! i thought bluetooth allowed your phone to sync with the car wireless?

Anyways my phone is a Samsung Omnia. I go to push the mode button on the car and then select "find bluetooth device" on my phone but it never finds it...

can someone point me in the right direction?

Sorry for another post about this....
FYI my car is a 2008
Thanks for the help!!

have you turned on BT on your phone? also make sure your phone is visible to every one

Try turning off the ignition, start looking for devices with the phone, then turn on the ignition again, do that a few times, it will eventually find it....can't remember the pairing code, I think is 111 or 1111.....check your car's owner's manual. My 2 cents. [drive]

thanks for the suggestions....

when i try this my bluetooth is on in my phone and i am searching for a bluetooth device-the car....except it never finds it....

but maybe i will just keep re-trying over and over until it finds it.

Do i need to do anything other than push the "mode" button in the Audi??

I think the bluetooth code is 1234. That's what my '08 A4's code was, at least.

the car's bluetooth is normally only visible the first 30 seconds after you start the car. if it doesnt work try it again

if 1234 doesn't work try 1111. Some phones just don't work with the car. I went through 2-3 phones before landing on my Blackberry that works great. Good luck

so i figured out what was wrong....

i took the car to the dealership...they fixed it for me..easy fix.

First of all i didnt realize you have to be stopped or something for the phone to find the car...and finally the pin number must have been messed with so we just reset it to 1234 and it works fine now...

to reset the pin it was on the nav unit and u dont need to go to the dealership to change...

Thanks all for the help!
I appreciate it.
