View Full Version : Torn passenger, lower, rear control arm bal joint boot

So in the process of replacing the rear passenger wheel bearing and removing the rear suspension hub assembly on my 2000 Quattro, i ran in to a stubborn ball joint. the ball joint connected to the rear, lower "control arm" on the passenger side would not come out after having been able to remove the nut. pb blaster, hammer, nothing. I ended up having to use a ball joint separator (fork), and inevitably, tore the ball joint's boot. anyone know if boots can be replaced (likely, not), or where this control arm w/ball joint can be purchased in the after market? Seems like they aren't at all as abundant as the front's. Perhaps someone is parting a car out and has one for sale?

Any help would be appreciated.
