Pretty simple question. I shredded a TB on my 97' 2.8 12V and was wondering before I go any further if it was definitely an interference engine and would most likely need a valve or two.

If your interested just PM me.

i broke a timing belt on my 1996 2.8 12v and valves were untouched. i turned the motor over several times by hand with no tb on and the valves didint touch. Changed the tb and was good to go. I beleive is a non interference engine.

It should be an interference engine. Just got lucky the heads stopped at a magic spot I guess.

How many miles were on the engine when it broke? I think mine is due or near it.
