Thought I'd bring this over here too since they now make these for the 2.0L FSI motor. Been running one on my B6 for a couple months now. Vibration through my serpentine belt tensioner is cut in half. It's pricey but definitely a worthy investment.

Here is the thread in the B6 forum:

From USP's website:
After many months of extensive research and development USP Motorsports is pleased to release our engine "Fluidamprs" for the 1.8T and 2.0T platform. These are manufactured to our specifications by Vibratech Inc. the leader in engine dampers.

These are available exclusively through USP Motorsports. For those that do not know engine dampers are essential when building high horsepower and high revving motors. Up until now no one has made an effective damper for the VW/Audi platform.

The USP Motorsports engine damper carries the following benefits:

***Decreased engine vibration. No more flywheels, crank trigger wheels, or timing gears falling off of the crankshaft. This was unavoidable when revving past 8000rpm in the past.

***Decreased "Clutch/Gear Box Chatter" which is caused by lightweight single mass flywheels.

***Reduction in rpm drops when shifting in a competitive environment.

***Gains of 3-10whp and 5-13ft/lbs. of torque depending on your current setup.

***An overall more efficient and reliable engine.

Any ideas if this would smooth out the idle on our Tips?
