I figured, I'd post up a project install, since these kind of threads are rare in this subforum. So, I just snapped a few quick pics on my phone. I really didn't have time to take a lot of pics, a friend and I really wanted to get them in and time was not on our side.

Here's a couple shots I took of the engine. I was noticing a "burning oil/fluid" smell and I happened to see this, it isn't the cause of the smell, but I find it weird that this vaccum hose is cut like that. It looks like something was there in the gap and may have deteriorated away, like a plastic fitting or something?

As for overall exterior shots of the drop, you'll just have to wait for Saturday night. Like I said, I didn't have time to take pics. When I have more time, I will.

Hopefully, if I have time next week, I will tackle this....

My tires on my stocks are wearing unevenly in the insides from the stock sport suspension, and I gotta get some tires and alignment soon.

Beautiful. Can't wait to see pics with the DPE's. What did it look like before the drop?

You can check my pic album. I have a few shots of the stock sport suspension. There was a bit more than enough space where I could fit my hand in the gap upfront, the rear was a 3 finger gap before.

Nice, looks good.
I was looking for pics of someone with these coils. Is this all the way down?
What do you think of the ride on these puppies?

No, the coils are not set all the way down. They're set at about 1/4 the way down and the rears are at a fixed height and cannot be adjusted (like all other coilovers kits available for the D2). The ride is a bit firm, but otherwise pretty good and tolerable.

Do you scrape much now?[drive]

Yes I do, but nothing extreme. I can still climb a speed bump without doing the "angle" manuver, I just have to take it slow. But some driveways, I do have to "angle" it to make it up. Plus, I figure..when I get my DPEs on it will raise the car a bit since they're 2inches bigger than the stocks. Been busy this week, especially with an illness in the family, so I had to put the DPE task on the side for now. Maybe in a week or 2, should have them on my car. I plan to get my photographer friend to snap some "real" pics, none of this camera phone isht.

How are you finding the coilovers now? Are they easy to adjust? Also did you change the top mounts and was there any improvement in handling? Sorry for all the questions and nice S8.

The FK silverlines are alright. My rears aren't completely flush with the fenders and I'm running 20s. The only fronts are height adjustable and the ride is good. I'm just not happy with the height in the rears as of now. Everyday that passes, I'm leaning more towards an air ride setup.

976 - The FKs were about 1300 from ECS.

^^How is your H&R set up? Is your rears height adjustable? If so, what setting is your rears at? Your drop pretty much looks identical to mine, except I'm probably 1/2" lower in the front. Thanks for the compliment.

You realise provided you get the correct profile tyres (ie. 245/35R20) the rolling diameter will be the same? [:)]
