fixed one boost leak today for a friend and im still trying to fix my brothers. i could not find any holes in the hoses coming off the intake mani. i took off the intake mani and searched the hoses quite thoroughly. Pressure tested the whole thing and the only spot i can find air getting out is from the dipstick tube which i have heard is normal. he has a forge splitter i have not tried replacing it. do those break? and would that cause him to only get 10 pounds of vacuum? any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you perform an actual boost leak test, or did you just do a visual inspection?

both. i did the boost leak test tennis ball method and i also did a visual inspection of the vacuum hoses.

How did you pressurize the system? With an air tank/compressor?

yeah i set the compressor to 30 pounds and pressurized it with that.

You should attempt again and basically just notice if the pressure drops on the gauge. If it does, then there is a leak that you maybe did not hear. It happened to me before.
