I just bought a new fuel level sending unit. I would like to do this myself as I am a good DIY'er and Audi loves bending you over.

I looked at the tech article on AW about this, and it seems the only hard part really is getting that big screw/cap/nut whatever you wanna call it off.

Basically, has anyone done this, and would you guys recommend tackling this project myself?

thanks.

it is fairly easy and straight forward, especially if its the drivers side one, as it isnt attached to the fuel pump. try to get your tank at least half empty, but the lower the fuel level, the less amount is spilled.
