Flashing CEL

Gents,
How do I make the CEL stop blinking long enough to flick the switch to turn it back to stock? I believe my HPFP has indeed gone. Boo.

I have GIAC, but you shouldnt need to start the car to turn it back to stock, just turn the key to power on. Your fuel pump?! really? sure its not coilpack or spark plug?

From my VAG experience, flashing was usually a misfire, my bet is on the coilpack.

i suppose i'm relieved... still going in to the dealer.

turn the key over to reflash... won't because the CEL is still blinking.

anyone have any ideas?

well disregard i suppose. was able to get it to go away by unlocking the APR. was able to set it back to stock and re-lock. i do hope the fault code is saved in there...
