This weekend I replaced stock Non-Sline suspension with:

The Koni FSD/Eibach pro kit
Audi RS4 rear sway bar

The drop, visually:
Coilovers now only make sense at the track. The drop from this cup kit landed me exactly where I wanted to be. I'm low enough to eliminate most, if not -- all -- of the wheel gap, and it keeps even the non-S-line bumper close enough to the pavement to indicate this is an aggressive audi, without dropping 1300 on adjustable coilovers that I would probably never adjust.

The drop, and the bumps:
Believe the hype. The FSD technology here is impressive.. I drove 4 hours through highway construction to get home today..and found that the same light caution you used with your audi -- pre-drop -- can be applied. I don't need to avoid all of the holes and bumps with this suspension as I do with the GTI on coils, even though you'll find yourself avoiding them to protect your investment...

This kit makes light-and-quick work of any hiccup in the road. I paid careful attention to how the suspension handled various road types (again..lots of contstruction).. and the best way I can describe the upgrade is that it feels like the B8 I drove as a loaner a month back. This suspension just does more work for you.

Road noise is lessened, light bumps all but dissapear, medium-sized bumps are 'muted' or 'deadened' beneath you..and the heavy bumps (if you hit them) don't feel like wheel-benders.

I don't plan on tracking this car, but I do have some fun in the 4-lane tight turns on the highway around here, and I found myself creeping over 100mph in some very tight corners -- WITHOUT realizing it. I never felt like I was really stressing the rubber today, either. This car still has a lot to show me. I HIGHLY reccommend this suspension for anyone looking for a street-worthy drop, if you don't have the need to adjust your ride-height often.

I also reccommend calling Nick @ NAMotorsports if you want to order. [hail]

I like the drop. That is the setup i will most likely go with when it comes time to replace the factory setup. unfortunately i am cheap and cant replace perfectly functional struts with new ones.

Sweet - my set gets in tomorrow for hopefully an install on thursday - can't wait. Thanks for the detailed feedback.

It's cool to see you finally get the suspension upgrade - you've been working on this a while, haven't you?

Car looks great - great drop, beautiful color.

Bro when you take pictures of the BR you gotta make sure you get them developed correctly. If the resolution (i believe thats what its called) is not correct..then it will make 'our' BR's look not it's full potential..

compared to this -

o/t: nice drop tho..

yeah the iPhone resolution is fine for web, but the color balance and levels are probably to blame here.

The new iPhone 3G-S has a much better camera..but anyway, I'll take some new shots with a real camera sometime this weekend

edit: this drop is too low in the front to use the touchless car washes that use the drop-out area in the floor to hold your car in place.. my bumper scuffed across the cement when my tires dropped into the space in the ground. Not happy about that.. the scrapes are all on the underside of the bumper, but still.. I didn't think I'd have to worry about this sort of thing with a cup-kit!

Please tell me what you think of the RS4 Sway... I've been on the Koni/Eibach Pro kit for about two months and like it. As have many others. I'm sure you'll like it too.

[>_<] i know.. the plan is to put winter-only rubber on these and get something new hopefully by the end of summer.

but right now I'm so fed up with this fuel cut bullshit that I think the next chunk of change will go into my HPFP[wrench]

your initial thoughts on the RS4 sway?

your initial thoughts on the RS4 sway?

Let's just say I think my rear-tire wear is about to catch up to the fronts [race]

I've been trying to stress the car in corners at high speed, to feel out the body roll, and there's a largely-noticeable difference in the car's attitude in the turns. I'm constantly finding that I could have taken an even-tighter line.

Now the only thing shifting in the corners is MY body.. out of these seats![drive]

yea, i'm about to swap out my s-line sway with an rs4. I also have the choice of an s4. don't know what to do. if i pick any of them, i'm stuck with it.

I believe the S4 and the A4 use the same sway bar. Can anyone confirm?

The A4/S4 bar is a skinny little bitch compared to the RS4/Hotchkiss sway bars for these cars.

Damn! Well I went from 16mm to 22mm, so needless to say I love the change.

Re: Sneaks
That's my buddy that made the trip back from Maine this weekend with me.. I'll let him know his sneaks got more attention than my newly lowered car!

updated with another pic.. will post more thoughts after getting aligned this week. Anyone who may have suggestions as to what to look for in a good alignment shop, I'd appreciate it. There are a lot of 'side job' places out here to choose from

Helpful review, good drop. I will probably go with something similar and have completely ruled out coilovers. How much did it run you? It's between aftermarket or just upgrading my non S-line to the sport suspension.

Looking good but there is room for some spacers in there man. I went the other way around. I just installed my 12.5 mm front and 17.5 mm rear ECS spacers on. I was thinking to go CO but I think I'll go this route instead.
