I ordered a CIM boost gauge last Saturday and I was wondering where everyone is running there electrical to? Is it a hard install? Thanks.

Can you or anyone elaborate a little as to which wires goes where? Thanks!
Use a multi meter to find out which fuse is constant and which is switched and then use a bolt/screw that goes into metal someplace under the dash. There's one way up behind the steering wheel column when you look up from underneath if you can't find another one.

I gave this link a quick glance and felt compelled to say:
Do NOT EVER go directly to the battery w/o adding a fuse in-line as close to the battery as possible. Maybe I didn't look closely enough but I didn't see where this person had added a fuse to his constant 12v lead and that is a BIG no no and can lead to dangerous car fires.

use any DIY for boost gauge, they basically use the same power source and method to install.

I tapped into the fuse box as well..
Use these:
-Red (12V switched): Fuse #7, ESP
-Green (12V constant): Fuse #39, Radio
-White (12V dimmer circuit): Remove the headlamp switch and tap into the gray wire with a blue stripe. To remove the switch, turn it to off, push in, turn to the right, and pull out.
-Black (Ground): Attach to the bolt as shown.
for some reason any diy i see is for mechanical gauges. i got one that the hose is in the engine bay and then two electrical plugs run up(one for power and one for boost pressure) no idea how to install. :(

Should be the same thing only instead of running the vacuum line to the gauge you run the harnesses and power/ground/illumination should be similar. It's not that much different and is actually easier than installing a mechanical boost gauge and in most cases is quite a bit easier.
