I read some where about taping a connector or something like that so the signal stays off when the lights are on but works to signal. Which of the 3 lines needs to be taped and how do you tape it?

well i got the bulbs out to paint and i figured i would do it right now but im not sure which is the right one

dont. you will get a bulb out warning. i just wrapped mine in aluminum foil so they are NEVER on

if its never on then how would i signal?

what year is your car? i think only facelifts have bulb out indicators. i don't know which wire to tape, but it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to figure it out. post pics when you're done!

I just did this the other day, I like it a lot. I think it makes my HIDs look a lot better. I made it to where they dont come on with the headlights, but still work when i use my blinker/ hazard lights. On the bulb there is 4 metal contacts, 2 on each side. You only need to cover up one of the 4 wires with a skinny piece of electrical tape. Just mess around with them until you figure out which one it is
