Classifieds Suggestion: Complete Car Part Out Section?

Just thought it may be a good idea for those that are parting out a complete car... that way the whole part out is more organized and people will be more likely to find what they need.

I think it a good idea[up] It would seem people would need to place multiple ads for the same thing in different categories if they intend to reach perspective buyers. This can just make it a whole lot easier for both the seller and buyer.

I was just coming in here to create a thread for this! A very simple one, nothing special. A B5, B6, B7, etc. and all varients fit under said chassis.

Chris, sorry for not following up on your PM...

Here are my (just mine) personal thoughts on this.

One of my worries w/ such section would be that people are going to be lazy and just post there whenever they've got more than one item for sale which would otherwise need to be posted in different FS sections. We try to keep the Classifieds as organised as we can, and trust me that does take some regular "maintenance", I'm somewhat concerned this will open the door for anarchy... okay anarchy is way too strong of a word, but I'm sure you guys know/appreciate what I'm getting at.

I do understand how it's kind of a PITA to create a new thread/post w/i each section, but it does have its advantage of keeping things organised.

Just my 2 cents.

That is my concern as well. Thank you for wording it better than I, Stéph. While it may make it easier to post up a complete part out, it will at the same time make even more work for the Mods who are kind enough to volunteer their free time to keep this place organized.

Why not post the rules of the thread with "greater than 5 items qualifies as a part out."

Or...something similar. This is a great idea...and this happens all of the time. Plus, it would prevent trying to keep track of each and every purchase by ending that thread. It would be a simple one-step process...
